| We could not have been happier with how our baby naming for our daughter went. Our family is still talking about how beautiful the ceremony was. We were thoroughly impressed with how hard Cantor Barbra worked to make sure the service was absolutely perfect and individualized for us. She made sure that each of our family members were a part of our daughter's special day. It was truly memorable and we will never forget that day. She was extremely creative, flexible, and accommodating. I live in California and Barbra was willing to work with me through email and on my limited time schedule. What you accomplished and prepared our son for in such a short time was truly AMAZING! You made a difference in all of our lives. For years and years I was researching temples, tutors to find the right fit for Stephen. You were the missing piece to our puzzle. When we first met you we felt a great presence and energy from you. I really needed someone that would motivate, inspire Stephen to want to learn Hebrew. Within a few minutes of meeting you, we both felt like you were the one. Stephen also told us that he was comfortable with your warm, friendly, welcoming personality. I felt so lucky that we had found you on Google. It was definitely a precious gift. From week to week I saw tremendous growth when you came to our house over the past few months. Stephen would always, or at least tried his best to be prepared. I saw that he was taking an interest in what you were teaching him. Learning a language for Stephen honestly is a very challenging task. I honestly am not sure how you did it, but he just started becoming focused and motivated to learn the material. There was nothing I had to do; you took care of everything from A to Z. You are very organized, consistent and we truly believe that you had a general interest in The service was so beautiful. You have a beautiful voice, like an angel. To have you sing and perform the service in our home was an honor. We were so impressed of Stephen's chanting , as well as his pronunciation of the Hebrew. Also the way you taught him to read the Torah was wonderful. We love how you made everyone feel special that day, including my 7 year old daughter Emily whose task was to dress and undress the Torah. Stephen is very proud of himself. He has accomplished a great task, matured, and he is a "mensch". He is a man capable of being and doing anything that he puts his mind to. I highly recommend Barbra for ALL of your Jewish Religious needs. She will come through from beginning to end with a smile. You can really count on her to take care of everything and support and guide you through it all. Love, Stacy and Jeff Ross My entire family wants to thank you from the bottom our hearts for the “miracle” you accomplished by preparing my son, Adam for his Bar-Mitzvah. We never felt so proud as when Adam was on the bimah, saying his prayers so confidently. We all know how hard it was to accomplish this goal. Adam has some special problems and after years of attending a local synagogue, it became apparent that he could not go forward with the Hebrew class. We tried various other teachers, but it was always the same, Adam learned very little. But when you were retained, everything changed. Adam’s attitude, originally defiant and lacking any interest in learning his obligation, turned quickly into a goal that he personally wanted to succeed. I am not sure how you did it; you both worked very hard and on that day, at the bimah I could not only see the glow in his and his mother’s face, but I saw the glow in your face. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. We just want to thank you again for helping our son reach such an important milestone in his life! We know that without your support, patience, and gentle guidance Zach would not have learned his Bar Mitzvah material. We enjoyed watching his growth weekly over the past year and have to say we miss seeing you. We are so thrilled with the Bar Mitzvah service you led the day of Zach's Bar Mitzvah that we would be honored to be a reference for other families in the future. Traditional Hebrew School was not working out for our 11 yr old son. After months and months of fighting and aggravation we withdrew him from the school with nowhere to turn and a lot of uncertainty. I stumbled upon Cantor Barbra's web site and arranged a meeting. After meeting with her and our son, we knew our problems were over! We set up a schedule and within the first lesson my son became interested in Hebrew and Torah learning again! She was flexible and open minded to our specific needs. Cantor Barbra came to our home every week and took care of all the details, big and small. It could not have been easier and Zach's Bar Mitzvah finally seemed like a happy event to look forward to. Our family and friends said that they had never been to a Bar Mitzvah so full of meaning and joy! It was wonderful and he had a big smile on his face the whole time. We know for a fact this would never have happened had we not met Cantor Barbra. We cannot recommend her highly enough. She comes to your home which is so convenient with all of our busy schedules. Cantor Barbra made this special day possible for us and we will forever be grateful. After speaking to several people I was reading the Jewish Standard Newspaper and found Cantor Barbra. I asked Cantor Barbra if she knew of anyone that could perform the ceremony for us and she replied that she could. I knew immediately that the ceremony would be special because she is a sweet, loving and sincere person. On the agreed upon day, she arrived promptly and was fully prepared to lead the ceremony for us. I remember her asking us for our memories of my mother and before you knew it everyone had something to say. For those there who couldn't’t read Hebrew she made it easier for them by having transliterations of the prayers available.
