After leaving the pulpit, Cantor Barbra spent a few years teaching Jewish music to pre-schools as well as religious schools. She currently teaches a Pre-Bat Mitzvah class and leads Jr. Congregation services at Gesher Shalom, The Jewish Community Center of Fort Lee. She tutors Bar/Bat Mitzvah students from congregations in the area as well as many private students. Cantor Barbra is Secretary of the New Jersey Cantors Concert Ensemble and conducts the adult choir at Beth Rishon in Wyckoff.
She is a member of both the Cantors Assembly (Conservative Movement) and the American Conference of Cantors (Reform Movement). She is married to Scott Fergang and has 3 children.
