Some families prefer small, informal group lessons in the intimate setting of one’s home. Cantor Barbra likes to teach a maximum of four children that have the same level of Hebrew ability. She will meet with the interested families for a free consult to decide together on the calendar schedule as well as the curriculum for each year.
The lessons include: learning to read Hebrew, prayers, Torah studies, Jewish holidays, lifecycles, and history. The sessions are interspersed with crafts, edible projects, and Torah based plays. Some of the classes may celebrate the holidays by participating in an ice cream seder for Tu B'shevat or a chocolate seder for Passover.
