Cantor Barbra officiates all services at multiple venues including homes, catering halls, and restaurants.

Cantor Barbra Lieberstein

Cantor Barbra Lieberstein was ordained at The Academy For Jewish Religion, NYC in 1998. During her student years and after graduation, she served Reform and Reconstructionist pulpits in New Jersey as well as in Long Island. As a cantor, she built up adult and children's choirs, developed the curriculum for the Bar/Bat Mitzvah students and taught adult B’nai Mitzvah classes.

After leaving the pulpit, Cantor Barbra spent a few years teaching Jewish music to pre-schools, religious schools, and led a Jr. Congregation. She tutors Bar/Bat Mitzvah students from congregations in the area as well as many unaffiliated students. Cantor Barbra was secretary of the New Jersey Cantors Concert Ensemble, co-led a Jewish Girl Scout troop, and conducted the High Holiday choir at Beth Rishon in Wyckoff for 9 years.

She is a member of both the Cantors Assembly (Conservative Movement) the American Conference of Cantors (Reform Movement) and the Women Cantors Network. She is married to Scott Fergang and has three children.
